Refraction is one of the most essential eye tests used to determine your exact prescription for glasses or contact lenses. It measures how light rays bend as they pass through your eye and helps detect common vision problems such as: Nearsightedness (Myopia) – difficulty seeing distant objects Farsightedness (Hyperopia) – difficulty seeing nearby objects Astigmatism – blurred or distorted vision due to an irregularly shaped cornea Presbyopia – age-related difficulty focusing on close objects
After the refraction test, you will have a consultation with our Assistant Doctor (AD) who will take your medical history, discuss any eye-related complaints, check your intraocular pressure (IOP) to screen for conditions like glaucoma, and conduct a fundus examination to assess the health of your retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels for potential eye diseases.
Following the Assistant Doctor’s evaluation, you will meet with our Consultant, who will carefully review the results of your fundus examination, diagnose any eye conditions, and prescribe the appropriate medication or recommend further diagnostic tests or procedures if needed for more detailed analysis or treatment.
If the Consultant Ophthalmologist recommends further tests, the next step involves performing the prescribed diagnostic procedures, which may include Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field Testing,Eye Scan or Pentacam to provide a detailed assessment of your eye health and help in diagnosing conditions more precisely.s
After reviewing the diagnostic results, the Consultant will advise you to visit our counseling session, where an expert counselor will guide you through your condition and treatment options in full detail, using visual aids to explain the recommended procedure. The counselor will then assist in planning the date and time for your procedure, ensuring you have all the information you need for a smooth and well-prepared experience..
The final step is the procedure itself, which will be performed in our Operating Theater (OT). Our skilled surgical team will carry out the recommended procedure with the highest level of care and precision, ensuring your safety and comfort throughout the process.
